Alberta Agricultural Economics Association Conference

Serecon is at the Alberta Agricultural Economics Association annual conference in Red Deer today. The theme is: Visions 2016 - "Growing Agriculture in Changing Climates: Economic, Environmental, and Social". Mike Vorona and Jim Robinson will be speaking about 'The Family Farm' and challenges related to technology advancements, climate effects, difficulties with seasonality, and social differences among other factors. Possible solutions such as succession planning, goal alignment, agronomy plans, passive farm management, active farm management, and farm advisory expertise will be discussed. Furthermore, discussion about common concerns related to multiple heirs, estate litigation, and divorce settlements will also be presented.
